【摘要】:Thisguideisnotintendedtobeall-inclusive.Theremaybeadditionalaspectsofperformanceandsafetythatneedtobeaddressedinordertohaveacomprehensivestudyofthesubjectmatter.Thesuggestedpreliminaryguidelinesummariesthatfollowweredevelopedbyaconsensusofbowhunterswithmanyyearsoffieldexperience,industrypeoplewithknowledgeinthedesignandmanufactureofbroadheads,andindividualsexperiencedinthedistributionandretailareasofthebusinesswhohaveclosecontactwithendusers.1.1Thisguidecoverstheformulationofpreliminaryguidelinesinsixareasofbroadheadperformanceandsafety.1.2Thefirstthreeguidelines,flight,penetration,andsharpness,arerelatedtoperformance,buttheycanhavesomebearingonsafety.Thelastthree,impactresistance,assemblyandattachmentmethods,andpackaging,determinetoagreatdegreethesafetylevelofthebroadheadinthehandsoftheenduser.1.3Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
