【摘要】:1ThisInternationalStandardcoverstheevaluationoftheperformanceofdiffusivesamplersofgasesandvapoursforuseoversamplingperiodsfrom4hto12h.Samplingperiodsofsuchdurationarethemostcommoninworkplacesampling.Givenasuitableexposurechamber,thisInternationalStandardcanbestraightforwardlyextendedtocoversamplersforuseoverothersamplingperiodsaswell.Theaimistoprovideaconcisesetofexperimentsforclassifyingsamplersprimarilyaccordingtoasinglenumericalvaluerepresentingsampleraccuracy.NOTEAccuracyestimatesrefertoconditionsofsamplerusewhicharenormallyexpectedinaworkplacesetting.Theseconditionsmaybecharacterizedbythetemperature,atmosphericpressure,humidityandambientwindspeed,noneofwhichmaybeconstantoraccuratelyknown.Furthermore,theaccuracyaccountsfordifficultyintheestimationoftime-weightedaveragesofconcentrationswhichmaynotbeconstantintime.Inadditiontoaccuracydetermination,amethodisprovidedtotestthesamplersforcompliancewiththemanufacturer'sstatedlimitsoncapacity,possiblyinthepresenceofinterferingcompounds.Amethodisgivenforclassificationofsamplersaccordingtotheircapabilitytodetectsituationsinwhichsamplercapacitymaybeexceeded.2ThisInternationalStandardisanextensionofpreviousresearchondiffusivesamplers[1-17]aswellasEN838.Essentialadvantagesaretheestimationofsampleraccuracyunderactualconditionsofuseandthereductionincostofsamplerevaluation.NOTEFurtheringthelatterpoint,knowledgeofsimilaritybetweenanalytesofinterestcanbeusedtoexpeditesamplerevaluation.Forexample,interpolationofdatacharacterizingthesamplingofanalytesatseparatedpointsofahomologousseriesofcompoundsisrecommended.Atpresenttheprocedurein[9]issuggested:Followingevaluationofasamplerinuseatasinglehomologousseriesmemberaccordingtothepresentpractice,highermolecularweightmemberswouldreceivepartialvalidationsconsideringsamplingrate,capacity,analyticalrecoveryandinterferences.
