MIL-STD-276, MILITARY STANDARD: IMPREGNATION OF POROUS NONFERROUS METAL CASTINGS (02 FEB 1956) [SUPERSEDING MIL-I-7878, MIL-A-17414 & OD-3619]., This standard covers the requirements and tests for theimpregnation of structurally sound castings and powder metal components in aluminum,magnesium, copper, iron, (excluding steels) and zinc alloys. Components for Navalservice shall be shown to be structurally sound in accordance with MIL-STD-278. Itis also applicable co test specimens used for evaluating impregnating materials inaccordance with MIL-I-17563.
