【摘要】:Separationofthevehiclefromthepigmentinsolvent-reduciblepaintsisrequiredinordertocharacterizepaintvehiclesbychemical,spectroscopic,orchromatographictechniques.Characterizationofvehiclesisimportantsincetheyplayamajorroleintheperformanceofcoatings.1.1Thispracticecoverstheprocedurefortheseparationofthevehiclefromthepigmentinsolvent-reduciblepaint.1.2Inthedevelopmentofthepracticethefollowingmaterialsweretested:whitesoyaandwhitefishoilisophthalicalkydsemi-glossenamels,whitelinseedoilpaint,whitesoyaandwhitelinseedo-phthalicalkydenamels.Itisconsideredtobeapplicabletosimilarmaterials.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
