【摘要】:Chemical-resistantpolymermachinerygroutsareusedtoprovideprecisionsupportformachineryorequipment.Themachineryorequipmentorsupportbasesorplates,orcombinationthereof,arepositionedtothepreciseelevationandlocationrequired.Thebasesorplatesaretypicallyplacedonpreparedfoundationsandsupportedontemporaryshimsorsupportbolts(jackscrews).Formsareinstalledtocontaintheflowablegrout.Thegroutispouredaroundtheperimeterinsuchamannerastoallowthegrouttoflowaroundandundertheequipmentbaseorplates.Thegroutsubsequentlyhardenstoprovideastrongrigidsupportlayercapableofwithstandingthestressestransferredbytheequipmenttothefoundation.Inadditiontotherequiredphysicalpropertiesofthegrout,theflowandbearingareaachievedareimportantconsiderationsforeffectivegroutinstallation.Thetwocharacteristicsmeasuredbythistestmethodareflowandbearingarea.Theflowtestsimulatestypicalapplicationconditionsforaflowablepolymermachinerygrout.Itmaybeusedtoevaluatethesuitabilityofaparticulargroutforaspecificapplication,tocomparetheflowabilityandbearingareaoftwoormoregrouts,ortoevaluatetheeffectsofformulationchanges,temperature,mixingtechniques,orotherfactorsonflowability.Theestimatedamountofuppergroutsurfacecontactinpercentcanbeusedtocomparetwoormoregroutsorshowtheeffectsoftemperature,formulationchanges,orotherfactorsonbearingarea.Becauseofthelimitedaccuracyinestimatingthepercentofcontact,alimitedsetofresultsissuggested(see9.9.1).Visualguidesareprovidedforcomparativepurposes(seeFig.1andFig.2).1.1Thistestmethodcoversthemeasureofflowabilityofchemical-resistantpolymermachinerygroutsasevaluatedina2-in.(5-cm)or1-in.(2.5-cm)pourthickness.Thetestmethodprovidesfortheassessmentofuppersurfaceplatecontactarea(bearingarea).Thesegroutswilltypicallybetwo-orthree-componentformulationsthatmaybeusedforinstallationswheregroutthicknesswillrangefrom1to6in.(2.5to15cm)underneaththebaseorplatesbeinggrouted.1.2Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
